Marina di Portorosa is a traditional marina for sailing boats chartered by our company, or whose rental can be part of a package of services that we can arrange for you.
Located in Furnari, in the province of Messina, sailing north, the first island you come across is Vulcano, followed by Lipari and Salina, then Panarea and Stromboli, and further west, Filicudi and Alicudi.
If you reach Sicily by plane, we can arrange a transfer (round trip) for you from Catania airport or Palermo. In both cases, the journey takes about two hours. It is essential to inform us of your transfer needs, preferably when booking the boat, as it is not always possible to find a suitable vehicle at the last minute.
If you arrive by car, the journey from Messina takes only one hour, the exit from the highway is Falcone. It is possible to enter the port area to unload luggage but bringing the car back to the parking lot next to the entrance gate is necessary.
What’s new in 2022? We have a brand new headquarter for our charter companies in Portorosa just moved to new premises located to the right of the "Shopping Center," in front of the pier. Boats, bars, restaurants, shops, and toilets are close at hand. You will find us by the GAIS logo.
You will find the travel agency GAIS and the office manager Christina, together with Antonio and Christian, who will introduce you to our company services and bureaucracy at the base.
If you need to purchase food and other necessities, we can place an order (you’ll need to create a list) and deliver it on board.
Alternatively, you can use the small supermarket right at the port shopping center, where you can find everything you need. Clothing and sporting goods stores are also close at hand. Remember, you cannot buy cigarettes in Portorosa!
The customer often asks us for transport and assistance for shopping outside Portorosa. We apologize in advance, but unfortunately, we cannot provide this service logistically.
There are also bars and restaurants near the pier, and if you let us know in time, we will make a reservation for you or order food delivered directly to the boat.
